Bashar Mashala, a twenty-one-year-old man from Qalqilya, went on a stabbing rampage on May 8, 2016 in Tel Aviv-Jaffa. Mashala wounded twelve people and killed American tourist Taylor Force before being killed by Israeli police. Police reported that the wounded included four other American tourists as well as two Arab men. An image was posted on Fatah’s facebook page celebrating Mashala as a martyr, and he was also referred to as a martyr on a Palestinian television station with the victims were referred to as settlers.
