Yesterday, Human Rights Watch demanded that their investigators be allowed into Gaza if Israel wants their war crimes investigations to be taken seriously. In the past few months, Israel has taken a stand against allowing human rights NGOs into Israel. This prevents human rights workers from entering and leaving Gaza;however, the Israeli security has not made claims against any of these workers. Egypt has also tightened its border restrictions with Gaza. If Israel wants to show that their criminal investigators are sufficient, they must allow these human rights workers to investigate.
