In Jerusalem both figures met discussing several topics including the growing violence and the value of core democratic principles and institutions. Blinken reiterated the American support for a two-state solution with Palestinians. The two briefly mentioned the war in Ukraine and the Secretary of State stated the importance of providing support to Ukraine.
After the meeting Mr. Blinken repeated to the press that President Biden was a “true friend of Israel,” and “America’s commitment has never wavered. It never will.”
