Israeli drone strike kills Palestinian gunmen amid more West Bank raids

As Israel’s operation in the West Bank enters its second week, IDF forces killed six Palestinian militants in the town of Tubas and a refugee camp nearby earlier this Thursday. Over the past week, ten people were killed in the city of Tubas, located in the north of the Jordan Valley; these actions were conducted by three drone strikes targeting a local militant cell according to IDF sources. One of its casualties, including Mohammad Zakaria Zubeidi, was described as a “significant terrorist.” An Iranian-backed group named “Islamic Jihad” claims five militants. Violence continued to ensue in the rest of the West Bank, especially in the cities of Far’a and Tubas. Overall, 39 Palestinians have been killed in the region during the two weeks of this operation, along with thousands already displaced.
