Hezbollah’s most recent shipment of pagers seems to have been tampered with, as at 3:45, they all started blowing up. As of writing this, 3 were killed, including a small girl, and 2750 were wounded. 200 are in critical condition.
The explosives were reportedly planted in the devices by Israeli operatives at some point throughout the production of these devices. The legality/morality of this operation is questionable at best, as Israel had no way to ensure innocents would not be harmed. The pagers were reportedly distributed to non-combatants such as doctors. Since the devices were detonated synchonously, there was no way of ensuring all innocents were out of the way, and many of the reported injured are not fighting age men.
