A friend of mine that I went to high school with became an ob/gyn and has worked in both the Philadelphia/Southern New Jersey and Fort Myers, Florida areas. She has been to Haiti several times to volunteer at the free clinic there, she has been to Jordan, and she has been to Lesbos, Greece. She’ll be returning to Lesbos in just over two weeks. I’ve included her thoughts on this video below (with her permission).
“Regardless of religion, race, or political views… the atrocities taking place in Syria now and those over the past few years are a crime against humanity. My country interferes with politics in countries like Haiti where they have no right and there is no need, yet in a country where it’s people are pleading for help, starving to death, tortured by their government, and brutally murdered (including children) the US does nothing. My country has no love left.
