This cartoon is very controversial, but it presents an Arab perspective on the state of Israel. Its depicts an Israeli extending his hand saying, “Look I extend my hand in peace and he doesn’t want it…” while holding a saw in the other. The Arab man’s hands are cut off. This cartoon is meant to depict the hypocrisy of Israel, repressing and abusing the Palestinian people and acting aggressively toward other Arab states in the region, but refusing to admit to its policies when the international community sees any wrongdoing. Instead, Israel acts as if it is trying to establish peace, but that the Arab people are impeding the peace process.
