Within an NPR interview, a teenage Palestinian spoke of the violence that ensued during this past summer. In this conflict, the Israeli forces fought against the militant group Hamas. Such fighting has led to countless amounts of trauma and PTSD for young Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. The UN aimed to address this by putting 150,000 children in either counseling or summer activities to combat the trauma facing many children living in the war-torn area of Gaza. Numerous doctors and psychologists are now attempting to determine how to combat a large amount of PTSD and other psychological traumas among children and young adults living in the war-torn area of Gaza.
